The Fortune Freestyle Competitive Team prepares skiers to compete at the Provincial level (Timber Tour).

The Fortune Freestyle Competitive Teams are designed for athletes who are ready to take their freestyle skiing to the next level through structured training, advanced skill development and competition.

Fortune Freestyle offers competitive programming in Slopestyle (Park & Pipe) and Moguls. Athletes may participate in one discipline or both, depending on their interests, skills and competitive goals.

Who Are Our Competitive Teams For?

​

Competitive programming requires strong foundational freestyle skills, a commitment to regular training, and the physical and mental readiness to participate safely in a more demanding training and competition environment.

​

Athletes joining the competitive teams should be:

• Comfortable and confident on skis

• Proficient in the foundational skills required for their discipline

• Ready to train consistently and work toward advanced freestyle skills

• Physically and mentally prepared for the demands of competitive skiing

• Interested in competing and representing Fortune Freestyle at sanctioned competitions

• Competitive team placement is based on an athlete's skills, readiness and ability to safely participate in the program.

Slopestyle & Moguls

​

Fortune Freestyle offers competitive training in:

​

• Slopestyle (Park & Pipe)

  • Athletes develop advanced terrain park skills, including jumps, rails and other park features, while working toward competition-ready skills and progression.

• Moguls

  • Athletes develop advanced mogul skiing skills, including technique, turns, absorption, jumps and aerial skills, with a focus on progression toward competition.

Athletes may join the Slopestyle Competitive Team, Mogul Competitive Team, or both, depending on their interests and readiness.

Training & Competition

​

Teams train predominantly at Camp Fortune, with additional training at alternate hills and facilities when appropriate to support athlete development and competition preparation.

​

Competitive athletes are expected to participate consistently in team training and competitions. Competition opportunities may include Timber Tour and other sanctioned events, depending on the discipline, athlete level and competition calendar.

The training and competition schedule for the 2026–27 season will be shared once finalized.

Information for Athletes & Families

​

Each season, Fortune Freestyle holds an information session for current and prospective competitive athletes and their families.

​

The session provides an opportunity to learn more about:

• Competitive team structure

• Training expectations and level of commitment

• Training and competition schedule

• Program fees

• Athlete development and progression

• Competition opportunities

Registration for our competitive teams will open in the fall once we have more information regarding the competition schedule for the season. We anticipate hosting a Zoom information session in late September, with registration opening in October.

Athletes must be invited to join the competitive teams. Our competitive program is intentionally kept relatively small to ensure athletes train alongside others of a similar skill level, allowing coaches to deliver appropriate instruction and progression for everyone. Competition Schedule

Fortune Freestyle athletes participate in sanctioned freestyle competitions throughout the season.
